Ideally when I read a book I want humor, tragedy, romance in such a manner as to make me cry and laugh and feel real emotions. I also want reality and depth and it would be nice to have a spiritual feel and be layered so that I might look into the depths. I also want true expertise in the subject matter.

In this book I had everything that I wanted and I burst into fits of laughter and cried too. The work made me think and the descriptions were like pictures in my mind and most certainly this writer must be a Horsemaster and without doubt 'somehow' Native American.

As part of me is Choctaw and part Cherokee I can vouch for the spiritual elements and Native Americanisms. As a Horse Breeder I have to say that this is one remarkable piece of work in regard to the Horse Relationship. This book is real in my mind, so much so that it made me actually dream.

Entertaining, deep, tragic, funny and most vivid.

To sum up: amazing !

I have read hundreds of books of all descriptions but seldom have I read one which caused me to suffer every known emotion a human could experience.

An incredible book!

I have read "The Edge of Sanity" twice now; I didn't want to miss anything, and I shall read it again, and again, and again.

One thing the human mind finds hard to define is why we feel what we feel. An emotion cannot be faked or in some cases understood. Certain pieces of music can spark a chain reaction of emotions. Is this because we relate to the lyrics of the song or because we wish we could?

By reading "The Edge Of Sanity" you are taken on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Within a handful of pages you will experience the hilarity of a simple evening meal, the secure and comfortable feeling of being surrounded by people you love and
return that love, to extreme desperation, anger and confusion. After completing the book I was left with a question lingering, if simply reading words from a piece of paper can leave me feeling like this then how must it feel to pour these words from your soul.
The style used pulls the reader deep into the lives of Philip and both of his families. You grow to love his farm family and dislike his real family but, understand how Philip loved them without reservation. Right from the beginning you respect Philip for his pure determination to succeed.
If you are looking for a book that you can sink into whilst letting reality slip by around you then this is the book for you. Strong,
Emotional, Gripping and written from the heart.
"The Edge Of Sanity" forces you to push your emotions to the edge, maybe to the edge of your own sanity as the writer wished.

I believe this to be one of the finest books I have ever read. Sarah Bedding, Senior Sales Executive, UK.
